Ay Yo. If you're one of those people who think..."Mayne it dont matter if I vote or not." I got to tell you, YOU ARE DEAD WRONG! If you're one of those people who think the election outcome has nothing to do with HipHop, YOU ARE DEAD WRONG!This election means alot to me because...
1. Im 18 and this is my first time to vote.
2. It could possibly be a historical event.
3. Someone somewhat like me will be representing our country.
4. Over the last 8 years I've seen so much suffering from the current president.
5. I have quite a few loved ones overseas fighting a never ending cause.
There is more but I want divulge.
All Im saying is if you are of age take the time to register and take the time to vote. It is important this go around. I firmly believe OBAMA is someone genuinely set on change, and I think he bring to the table what alot of people need... HOPE!
ITS EFFECT ON HIPHOP:
In alot of our music your here complaints about the current state of our people. If you think that thats not a direct effect from the government, your blind. When it comes to record sales overall they are at a all time low. Some people might say.."they just aint making good music." Have you ever thought maybe that 12.99 at target might be too much for some people to afford today. I for one am ready for an improvement even if its minimal. Honestly, if you don't take the time to vote then you don't have a right to debate or complain about your current situation.
Your opinion will be irrelevant.
